Dan Potter

If there is one thing Dan Potter knows, it is how to bring the world of fantasy to life, through art and acting. Dan and his younger sister Wendy created the troupe now known as the New Hyborian Players. Dan’s first and favorite role is as Necron the wizard; with a set of sophisticated special effects, it is not hard to be bluffed into believing Dan really is a necromancer. A fan of Marvel’s EPIC line of comics, and any of Robert E. Howard’s works, Dan took an interest in Fantasy and art at a very early age. Not only that, but he tutored himself in the art of weaponry; he is excellent with any weapon he lays his hands on. Dan also tutored his sister in all of those interests, and when she was fifteen they began bringing the story of Red Sonja to life!

In his free time, Dan enjoys menacing little girls.

Casey Heaton

Casey grew up with Wendy. Studying weapons and collecting comics, Casey is the definition of a geek babe. When Wendy and Dan took the stage for the very first time to do their Red Sonja skit Casey was right there with them. She was the original eye candy for the New Hyborian players.

As a child she spent a fair amount of time reading Elfquest, Red Sonja, and Strangers in Paradise. She also idolized the character of Gabrielle in the Xena - Warrior Princess television show. When Casey joined the Hyborian Players her stage name became “Erielle” as a tribute to her childhood heroine.

Stunning and talented, Casey has a knack for playing the damsel in distress.

Tara Goodwin

Tara had never really been into comics or swordplay. She had however been a friend of Wendy’s for several years. Initially Tara was supposed to play an extra and an understudy for the show. Her love of drama kicked in and soon she had memorized everyone’s lines. With skills like that it was impossible to refuse her a part. With that Zorretta, princess of Nemedia was born!

The role suited Tara perfectly. With her charming and graceful presence one might believe the attractive young lady truly is of noble Hyborian birth.

Zorretta’s costume was designed after a sketch of Salome which appeared in the 1970s Savage Sword of Conan.

Richard Garland

Ritchie was already an accomplished swordsman when he joined the Hyborian Players. With his threatening physique and background as a prison guard Ritchie made the perfect henchman to costar with the character of the wizard.

Ritchie has been a fan of comics and the fantasy world of gaming and art for most of his life. He knew exactly the type of character Wendy and Dan needed. His portrayal of Pawn the demonic Stygian henchman is precisely what was needed to complete the cast of “Sword of Sonja”.

Jennifer Taylor

Jen already had a background in acting when she met the Hyborian Players. Although she has never been interested in comics she has an astounding love of anime and gaming. Jennifer also had a background in local theater and like Wendy she loves to make costumes and backgrounds. The enigmatic and spirited Jennifer needed a strong role so she adapted that of Belit, Pirate Queen of the Black Coast.

She had never read the Conan novels or comics so Jennifer wasn’t familiar with Belit, but once she was introduced to the character Jennifer proudly stepped into the role. With her headstrong and striking attitude the role of Belit suited Jen perfectly.

In addition to taking on the role of Belit, Jennifer also doubled as a Nemedian priestess for several skits. Talented Miss Taylor has proved to be quite as asset to the Hyborian Players.

Kevin Lewis

Kevin was originally part of our audience participation program. (I pulled that project out of my ass! ~ WP) In other words, Kevin came to see the show and somehow ended up performing in it! He was a natural. Kevin has a stunning ability to ad-lib as well as a commanding stage presence. His first role was as the captain of the guards in “Red Sonja and the Curse of the Minotaur.” Now he and his daughter Allie are staples in the show.

Ashlee McKeehan

Ashlee is an honorary Hyborian Player. She has been the understudy for our “Red Sonja and the Minotaur” show. Appearing as a slave girl for King Finboga, Ashlee joined the cast on Halloween, 2005. Ashlee is a knockout so any theater group would be lucky to have her. Although she hasn’t appeared on stage as often as some of the other Hyborian Players her charismatic and stylish nature make her a welcome addition to the cast.

Jed Clark (a.k.a. guy who gets killed first ~ WP)

Jed’s first role was as a narrator in the “Sword of Red Sonja” skit. When the entire skit was rewritten Jed acquired a role as the wizard’s Khitain guardsman. Since then Jed has gone on to portray several different guarding roles in all the Red Sonja shows. His barbaric features and friendly personality make him easy to work with.

He has been a fan of everything fantasy and sci-fi ranging from anime to Warren magazines. A physical therapist by trade, Jed moonlights as a Hyborian Player!

Allie Lewis

Allie is the youngest member ever to join either group of Hyborian Players. Eleven-year-old Allie joined the Hyborian Players along with her father Kevin Lewis in 2005. The spunky, brilliant young girl is certainly a pleasure to work with. Her charismatic demeanor and willingness to wholeheartedly act is in itself amazing. It’s obvious that she enjoys being on stage.

Don’t let her petite size kid you; Allie is a huge anime fan.

Her role as a servant to King Finboga is documented in photos throughout this site.
